Having decided their marching order, the trio dip down into the sewers and begin their exploration of the guts of the City.
This particular neighbourhood might be beautiful up above, but the sewers are much like any others. Damp, glimmering stone glistens wet beneath the light of the magic used to illuminate their travels. With Stephen leading the way, he is the first to spot a potential sign of trouble.
Thick webbing is laced over the floors, walls and ceiling – ropes of the gooey white webbing are laced in intricate pattern across the entire sewer corridor, giving precious little in the way of space through which they could pass.
This is no common spider’s webbing, that much is immediately apparent. The strands are much too large, and whilst there is no immediate sign of the arachnid which must have created them, it must surely be a spider of unusual size – and there is no adventurer in Faerun who does not know that beasts of unusual size are ever aggressive specimens.

Artemis starts to rummage into his satchel for something as he whispers out to the other two "hold on, let me get rid of the webbing. Spiders aren't something we need in our path right now" and Artemis finally finds what he is searching for, a metallic contraption that looks akin to a bear trap but with a flint like mechanic at its centre. He throws the contraption forward. (Casts Bonfire cantrip) and let's it go ablaze against the flames to burn the webbing.
He concentrates channeling arcana into the contraption to keep ablaze till the webbing is mostly burnt away.

Stephen stayed back, wary both of the web and the owner that was sure to be nearby. He stayed close to the other adventurers as they burned through the barrier, not wanting to be the odd man out that got pounced on by a giant arachnid. He watched appreciatively as the web was burned from afar, not needing someone to get close and attempt to chop it all down.
"The owner can't be far. Though it makes me wonder; was this web built in the last day? Or did the thieves find some way to bypass it?"

Hylid watched as the bonfire did what it was meant to do burning the web. “I also have a flame dart that would do the job if we need it. I have no desire to meet the owner of this web but we should prepare to do so just in case. Stephen, you may want to be careful scouting too far ahead from here on out.” With that, Hylid waits for the fire to finish and proceeds forward.

The webbing ignites, and flame rushes out of control. Down in the sewers, it isn’t just the webbing that one needs to worry about – once the magical flame begins to burn in more mundane fashion, the methane ignites as well. The heat is immediate and terrifying; flames licking all around the trio from all sides. They’re going to have to contend with that pretty swiftly or things are going to turn very dire indeed for them all! And to make matters worse, beyond the burning webs, there is a large, shadowy shape; indistinct, perhaps fifty feet from Artemis as the lead in that direction… but present, and its attention seems to have been drawn by the flickering flames. (Okay, order is taskytony Aafuuu and then 3personal5me - you get your normal actions, and then take 1d4 fire damage from the environment. This environmental hazard will get worse until it is addressed)

“Stupid Hylid! Should have thought about the methane buildup and fire.” Hylid mutters to himself. “Can anyone do anything to try and put this fire out or at least keep it from hurting us? I will work on whatever is up ahead.” Hylid decides Flame Dart may not be the best option at the moment so Hylid advances toward the shadowy shape preparing to attack with his mace/hammer if needed(I will attack at the first sign of aggression.)

"Oh no, this was not supposed to happen!" Artemis states aloud panicking for a brief moment as he stops concentrating on the bonfire to put it out.
Rummaging through the pouches at his hip he produces a small bit of powder, white in colour, that he grabs a handful of.
He throws the handful at the fire spreading around himself (casts prestidigitation) to hopefully snuff the fire out before it spreads any further.
"Everyone ok? Let me know if you're burn- oh my! What is that?!" Artemis proclaims aloud looking at the shadowy figure in the distance. He sees Hylid stepping up and walks abreast with him holdingh is shield out to provide support in taking this creature down.
He advances forward but keeping some distance from the creature, roughly 20 ft.

Stephen shook his head as the flames began to lap at his coat. He wasn't afraid of fire, per se, but an early case he had worked involving a massive fire had definetly had a strong impact on him. Sometimes, when he stared into the dancing flames of a conflaguration, he could almost smell the bodies.
He shook his head, rousing himself from his distraction, just as Artemis began to sprinkle a white powder amongst the flames. Stephen was far from knowledgable in alchemy, but he assumed the substance was meant to quench the flames. "Let's try to avoid detonating the sewers. At the very least, this whole block will reek for weeks". He drew his shortsword, taking his place beside Artemis. He stayed in a low crouch, ready to move at a moments notice.
He narrowed his eyes, squinting to see the shape they were facing down. "These tunnels are narrow; Hylid, if you can keep it busy, I may be able to flank it".
The flames were already becoming unbearable. "Artemis, I don't know what you threw into the fire, but I don't think it's working as well as you had hoped".
(Making an Investigation check to see if flanking is possible)

"I don't know how long I can keep it busy but we will find out. I would hit it with fire but we at least need to let this fire burn the Methane out of the air first or this gets worse fast". Hylid tightens the grip on his shield and his hammer and goes to work.
