Character Name: Jaquard Du'Blaque (formally Jem Duncan)
Character Level: 3.
Race: Half-Elf.

Eyes: Dark brown.
Height: 5'11'
Weight: 178lbs

Appearance: Sporting a goatee and, the latest in Waterdeep-fashion haircut, Jaq looks the part. He wears fine but practical threads and effortlessly looks in place among the patrons of any of Waterdeep's numerous evening establishments. Only those who know him would be able to discern his rural upbringing.
History: The youngest of three brothers, Jem was a third generation half-elf who had worked on his father's farm since he was ten. He detested his dreary life of hard labour and fenced pastures and would often sneak off in the evenings to the local pub, even though they wouldn't let him in, just to listen to the song and revelry within. When he returned to farm work after these escapades, armed with new bawdy insults and unsavory songs, his family rewarded him with punishment and derision rather than the laughter he craved. It was not long after his fifteenth name-day that Jem packed his meager belongings and ran away from the farm in search of audience. He changed his name from Jem Duncan to Jaquard Du-Blaque, created his first suit of motley and started knocking on the door of every dockside pub or country inn he could find.
One night, at a particularly rough establishment, Jaq offended the wrong crowd. After his show, they were waiting for him outside. Overpowered and outnumbered, he was dragged into an alley and beaten bloody. As the boots rained down and his vision faded to black, She came to him. The Raven Queen offered him survival from his beating in return for his eternal service. He saw little choice but to accept. When he awoke, a raven hopped over from nearby. As he sat up, it hopped onto his shoulder and stared at him expectantly. Shaking his head, he chuckled nervously.
"How's it going Snowy? Wanna cracker or something? No or Yaar?"
He finished with a pirate voice...
Her gifts gave him insight and the ability to gain work in places he had previously only dreamed of. Her price seemed innocuous; to do his utmost to season the souls of the dying - should he ever come across any - by ensuring they passed over while experiencing strong emotion so as to make them more valuable to Her.
He spent the ensuing years earning a crust in just about every establishment in Waterdeep, sometimes as himself, sometimes disguised as another, if the mood struck him or if it would better suit the venue. He kept up his practice of the talents granted to him that night - just in case - but as yet has not found opportunity to repay his debt. He has noticed Snowy looking expectantly towards him more often lately, however.
Personality: Despite his good looks and fine clothes, Jacquard is not conceited and makes every effort to disarm his social interactions. He genuinely compliments and attempts to empower his friends and allies. He wins friends among the locals by satirising their bosses and nobles. He belittles his enemies with his sharp wit and crass insults.
He is always eager to travel out of the city in search of material and adventure, and welcomes the opportunity to bring a smile to a face by helping out, even if he does give them a hard time about needing the help in the first place.
