I'm afraid there's still multiple issues with this one. Kel'antar does not make it explicit what his prepared spells are. Nor is it even made clear exactly what spells are being cast in some cases. The alarm should already have been raised pretty significantly by the time the second round of fighting is happening. I'm also not granting 1300 xp for opening a chest, even if it was trapped. You had an average of +8 on the disarm check, including the Guidance you had access to. That made it close to a 50% chance of success or failure (requiring a 12+ on a d20). As per the adventure thread guidelines a full skill challenge - which requires both players to participate and for an average of rolls to be taken. Kara took absolutely no part and had no influence whatsoever on the skill challenge. The only relevant party was Kel'antar who had a 50% chance of success. As the party level there was effectively 2 that's going to be a 700xp encounter but I will grant it all to Kel'antar as he effectively dealt with it alone. The fight also seems quite ... peculiar, to be charitable. Why is Unyon repeatedly trying to grapple Kara? Grappling does not stop her from hurting him, and she has advantage on the grapple checks due to rage. If he'd just kept hitting her instead, there was a good chance that he'd go down. Despite the alarm being raised, little effort seems to have gone into preparing for the adventurers (for instance, at no point in any of this that I have seen do any of the enemies use ranged attacks). Positioning of enemies in general becomes very difficult to understand, and I'm generally unsure whether it was fair for the final encounter to go the way it did. Overall, I'm going to grant half XP for the monsters due to the difficulty in understanding the flow of combat, and half the extra 1000 gp reward. So in total: Kel'antar: 3920 gold & xp for wordcount, 1125 xp for monsters, 700 for the skill challenge. +250 gold for bonus rewards. Total of 5040 xp & 4170 gold. Kara: 2040 gold & xp for wordcount, 1125 xp for monsters, +250 gold for bonus rewards: Total of 3165 xp & 2290 gold. At present I can only see that you have 1 DM Coupon across your characters. Please note that you can choose to gain experience and gold rewards OR a DM Coupon for threads that you have DM'd and participated in. I have applied rewards on the assumption that you want your extra 1825 xp and 250 gold for this thread - let me know if you'd rather lose that and gain a coupon instead.
