So there were a rather sizeable number of mistakes and other issues made here. Dhaunmyr uses Druidcraft, which is an action, and then attacks with advantage - not quite sure where he's getting advantage from? This is only a guess because it isn't made explicit that he is doing that but it seems to be the only way to explain the post. If the advantage comes from positioning I have to wonder why they weren't positioning themselves to offset the disadvantage made later, given that the bad guys outnumbered Dhaun and Nai. Also if Dhaun is getting advantage from positioning, Nai should also be getting advantage from positioning - so I just wind up very confused about where all this advantage is coming from. The combat in general is extremely difficult to follow in a coherent fashion, and it is not made clear what actions are being taken, what spell slots have been used, or where people are in relation to each other. You need to make it crystal clear exactly why and where advantage / disadvantage is coming from. This is an issue in other places too - not sure why advantage is given on several athletics checks, for instance. Finally, at no point that I can tell does Naizelos make it explicit what spells he has prepared that day. This seems very convenient as he has exactly the spells he needs for the situation at hand (e.g. feather fall to save Dhaunmyr). As the player is also the DM here I'm afraid all of these issues mean I'm not going to be grading this as an adventure - this will be graded as a social thread. enchilada Malakbel please let me know whether you want gold or xp for this.

Advantage on certain attacks is given due to two factors:
1) Humans not being able to see in the dark and thus needing torches. Something most people seem to forget. Dark Elves and Yuan-ti have darkvision. This much is said out loud by them.
2) Shadow Blade has advantage when used in dim light, or darkness.
1) There only instances when a check has advantage, is where the help action is being used by the other. Such as reaching over with your hand to pull someone that's trying to climb up; or giving footing to someone trying to climb up. And though not explicitly bolded and singled out as a word, it is the description of their action.
1) The amount of spells Naizelos can prepare is equal to the amount of spells he knows. Higher in fact. Thus he always has all his spells prepared.
If, despite all this, it still doesn't matter, I'll take gold.
