Biography
Character Name: Honeybun Sundrop
Character Level: 1
Race: Rabbit (Halfling, lightfoot)
Gender: Female
Alignment: Neutral
Deity: Oghma
Size: Small
Hair: Black
Eyes: Very dark brown
Height: 2’5
Weight: 30lbs
Age: 2 by her knowledge, 5 in total
Appearance: Honeybun is a strange little creature. She sort of looks like if a rabbit just stood up on its back legs and decided to walk. She has completely black fur, and almost black eyes. If it weren’t for her dainty little pink twitching nose and her rosy paw pads, she would have been completely dark, too. She’s an angora rabbit, so she is incredibly fluffy. She tries to shave it down on her face, her arms, and most of her body, but it’s a lot of work. The tips of her ears are very fluffy, and she has a kind of fluff around her head that resembles a kind of hair. It’s useful to hide behind if she wants to try to blend in, although that is incredibly difficult. She is actually very oversized for a rabbit, but she is still rather small, even in a community of smaller races.
Honey has a small, branded scar on her right thigh. She often wears a spiked collar, spiked bracelets and anklets to match. She paints on her fur in dark red stripes, especially her ‘hair’ fur. Usually, she’ll wear a big, wide brimmed hat, some kind of skirt outfit or dress, and bracelets and bangles up to just shy of her elbows, and gloves.
History: Honeybun doesn’t remember very much from before, other than the monotonous days of being in her little hutch, of her fear of going on wagons, and being pet and stroked and brushed, and occasionally plucked or shaved for her fur. From what she can piece together, she had been something of a magic rabbit, the kind that get pulled from hats and so on. Her mistress was very kind, although Honey was only with her for so long. She was very old, and wanted to continue to live, but it just hadn’t worked out. Halfway through some kind of magical experiment, she’d died. But Honey... well. If it was some kind of prank by the fey creatures, it wasn’t a funny one. Honey was suddenly very cramped in her hutch, and, more importantly, she had something of an understanding of the things going on around her, more than before. And, she didn’t quite have paws anymore, they were far more like hands, or, at least enough like hands to open up the latch and set herself free.
Honey happened upon some halfling settlement, still getting used to not being able to run on all four legs just as well. While she knew her mistress had wanted to be secluded, other than performing for money, she wasn’t aware there were people living so close. They helped her a great deal, after the initial shock wore down. In truth, they said she wasn’t so different to a kind of people called tabaxi. Honeybun wanted to meet some.
So, with a few supplies raided from her mistress’s hut, and a decent grasp on several languages, Honey decided to try and understand herself. She hadn’t found much. Similar cases existed, but they didn’t start walking or talking. There was a different kind of magic there. Honey is sure in herself that she will find out who she is, and why she is, eventually.
Personality: Honeybun has a few pet peeves, number one is being called cute. She is a scholar, a dedicated learner of all things to do with interaction between people and animals, and a keen reader. She is not a child, and she certainly is not ‘cute’. She also has something of a morbid curiosity that burns inside of her. The first thing she ever saw, and understood, was the corpse of her caretaker. Honey isn’t really bothered by that kind of thing, but it excites her, in a weird way. She’s a little grumpy, but she perks right up around people who are either avid learners like herself, or can use magic, or people from far away. Anyone she can learn off of, she wants to. That said, she’s not quite as naturally clever as the people she spends her time around mostly, but she feels (and hates) that they probably like her because she’s a cute little anomaly that should be explored and explained.

When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
