Alignment: N
Deity: none

Hair: Black

Height: 5’5”
Weight: 171lbs
Age:42
Appearance:
Armored in in a full suit of chain mail, with boots and heavy gloves, the face of the warrior is hidden behind a metal mask and shadowed in the deep black hooded cloak, leaving no amount of skin is exposed to the light. Their shield, kept at the ready, is marked with combat and scribbled with small symbols, much too fine to make out without closer inspection. Inside the palm of each glove is a grouping of runes. The masked helmet as well is a etched with in tiny marks into the metal, and painted in purples and greens.
History:
Born to an Elvish mother but raised with his human father, life as a scribe and later as researcher in a library did not hold the adventure this one desired, and so leaving that sheltered life the next many years were spent searching the old places for ancient secrets. Knowledge for knowledge sake, the potential wealth and academic renown helped convince their investors, but what they found was not meant for mortals. The party never returned from those sunken ruins, and was presumed dead after several years. It was true, yet within the still living vessel of the half-elf researcher had emerged and wandered far from that place.
It found dark cowls to shrouded their features, then armor, learning to move with the weight, shielding the flesh from damage let alone light, trudging forward. Scrawling what echos they could into metal, the cloth and leather, they once begged the whispering for relief. Instead they grasped magic from the maddening silence, and inured, was imbued with a terrible truth.
Since then, the ironclad wanderer has moved from town to town, searching for the answer to a question. Always somewhat at odds with their environment, they nonetheless seem to function as any other adventurer of their caliber, taking jobs solving threats to survive in this harsh existence. Their armor protects them, and their offensive magics are wielded only as a final option, as a reasoned intellect and social grace have helped Si'ala avoid more than their fair share of trouble.
Personality:
The outward demeanor of this adventurer is reserved and approachable, in spite of the get-up. Another stranger in a strange city. Looking past the obvious air of mystery, the warrior is polite and generous with common citizens and local officials, making an effort to put others at ease. Easily described as a pleasant individual, though the a little creepy with the mask, this adventurer prefers to avoid violence in favor of peaceful solutions. Known about in areas of Waterdeep for delighting children with minor feats of prestidigitation. Behind masks, however, they are guided by the infinite chaos. Behind green eyes, beneath the meat, is a creature dissecting the world around them into pieces to look for better combinations. Unconcerned with human morality and equally disinterested in harming others or hording power. This curious case is a seeker of knowledge, gaining power almost incidentally through its discovery, for purposes unknown. They seek the answers to questions unasked by common tongue.
Personality “I’m willing to listen to every side of an argument before I make my own judgment.”
Ideal: Knowledge. The path to power and self-improvement is through knowledge. (Neutral)
Bond: “I've been searching my whole life for the answer to a certain question.”
Flaw: “Unlocking an ancient mystery is worth the price of a civilization.”

When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
