Biography
Character Name: Kaleb Maeren
Character Level: 3
Race: Human (Variant)
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Deity: Umberlee
Size: Medium
Hair: Brown, Short
Eyes: Blue/Gray
Height: 5’ 11”
Weight: 180
Age: 30
Appearance:
Kaleb is tall, lean, and athletic. His skin is darkly tanned from his time at sea, and his body is riddled with scars from both punishment and battle. His hair is long and unkempt, his beard trimmed as if with sheep shears, and his eyes smolder beneath a heavy brow. He often sports a red bandanna tied around his forehead, and pants torn to shorts just at the knee. When on land, Kaleb often wears a pair of hempen sandals, but otherwise he prefers to be barefoot and bear chested.
History:
Born a poor boy to a poor family, Kaleb immediately fell into trouble with the law almost as soon as he could walk. He landed in a jail cell more times than he could count. His father, a local fence, pawned him off on an associate of his that took him away from Waterdeep. The man was part owner of a merchant company, and was the first mate on a sailing ship, so by the age of twelve he was already learned the ways of the sea. He traveled from the southern Sword Coast up to Luskan, to Icewind Dale, and everywhere in between. It wasn’t long before he was manning the ship, and after nearly a decade he returned home to see his family, and the city he left behind.
Personality:
Kaleb appears very aloof, calm, with disarming smile and charming wit. While not extraordinarily intelligent, he does possess practical knowledge, a la street smarts, and is deviously cunning. His priorities are him, himself, and what he wants, and he does whatever he feels like in the moment to ensure that he survives the day. Also, if coin is involved, he is more highly motivated. However, he is, at heart, an opportunist, and values his life over everyone else’s. He’s been known to leave associates behind to ensure he makes a profit.

Though you have left that life behind, you still visit once in a while.

I sold the Leather Armor in my class starting options, and bought Studded instead. I think that was the only change I made on equipment.
