Trisys Fizzlewick was always an unusually boistrous child. Born to Genwil and Fenya Fizzlewick, Trisys was the youngest of 8 Rock Gnome children who lived in the Field Ward. Her parents worked hard to run an apothecary and eke out a living for themselves and their children. Most of Trisys's siblings had much more common aptitudes; three went off to study arcane arts, one became a cleric, and the other three stayed with Genwil and Fenya to help run the store.
Trisys was drawn to the adventuring life, and signed on with a caravan guard as soon as she could hold a sword well enough to prove that - despite her diminutive stature - she could definitely be dangerous. It didn't take her long to show that she had an aptitude with it, and after that to fall in with the Zhentarim, who were aggressively recruiting all mercenaries of any decent talent.
She worked with them for just three years. In that time, she did many things that she wasn't proud of. At first, she thought that they were just a forceful group - but the deeper she got in with the Zhentarim, the more she saw and understood that they were a deeply powerful, deeply evil organisation. She feared leaving, both because she thought her superiors would kill her and her hands were stained with innocent blood. She fell deeply into despair, and she likely would have continued to work for them, if it weren't for a vision from Gaerdal Ironhand.
Gaerdal came to her in a dream, and told her that if she did not change her ways, she would be doomed to become just another monster used by the Zhentarim. She handed in her commission the very next day, and returned to Waterdeep, where she crawled into a bottle and has yet to fully emerge.
Personality:
Trisys tries hard to embody the best in Gnomish culture, and make the people around her smile. Unfortunately, her dark history has stained her attitude, and she has difficulty with that at times. She is filled with remorse for the terrible things she has seen and enabled, and wishes nothing more than to bring down the Zhentarim and all other bullies who pick on the little guy.
She is also very fond of getting drunk, but only when she feels she can get away with it. She has iron self control when it comes to presenting a professional demeanor 'on the job', and she takes her work incredibly seriously. If she has accepted coin to fulfil a contract, she will see it through or die in the attempt.
