Aronin simultaneously drew a scimitar into one hand, and his short sword in the other. He lost sight of the goblin hiding in the brush, and decided to lend some back up to Avren. He slid his blades on top of each other, causing the metal to ominously chime in a long drawn out ring of sound. Before the ringing blades could fall to silence, he began to whistle, matching the pitch of his metal. Aronin felt his body become more nimble and quick, then immediately dashed to the duo of goblins surrounding Avren.
[ Used bonus action to go into Bladesong. Used my action to dash to the square west of the goblin standing north of Avren ]

[Ok, so initiative is:]
21 Aronen 13 Avren 8 Lykus 8 Goblin Melee 8 Goblin Boss 5 Northern Goblin Archer 3 Southern Goblin Archer
[Aronen, I pretty much arbitrarily placed you on the map. I'll say that with your bonus movement from bladesong, you have enough movement to get into melee and can use your action to attack if you wish]

[Ah, okay. I will rescind the use of my action to dash into range and attack instead.]
Aronin flanks the side of one of the goblins, and then makes a sweeping slash with his scimitar across the goblin's torso.

He then follows up the first attack by making an attempt to stab the goblin in the chest with the short sword.

Hearing the strange, dissonant hum of your metal blades the goblin looks up just in time to raise a shield and parry your first attack. The blow, however, unbalanced him and you're able to hit home with your second swing before he can recover. Your shortsword pierces his leather armour and the goblin is looking badly hurt.
Avren, you have a hurt goblin directly to the north and the bigger, meaner one directly to your south. Aronen has just stabbed the one to the north. What would you like to do?

That went to hell and fast. Avren winced as her effort to be stealthy failed, and failed so well that she barely had a time to inspect the horses before the ambush befell them. Of course there was an ambush, why wouldn't there have been? Her pride smarted; this is exactly the kind of shit she would have anticipated just outside Baldur's Gate. Had living in Waterdeep made her soft? If so, that was all the more reason for the lessons this journey would teach her. Of course, she would have to survive them first.
The scaled half-elf, hissing from her wound but still able to keep herself together, disengaged and sought cover from behind the fallen horse. Then she narrowed her eyes and conjured three small darts of magical force. One she sent at the wounded goblin, the other she send at the larger one to her south. Hopefully that would give them enough of an edge until Lykus reached them. "Watch out for the archers!"

Despite being surrounded by slashing scimitars, Avren easily slips out of the reach of the goblin assailants. Planting one hand on the now cold horse carcass, she vaults over and ducks down for cover before loosing two bolts of force at the pair.
[The injured goblin is looking critical and his eyes dart around for an escape route, the other goblin barely registers the attack before setting his sights on the new swordsman before him]
Last to react to the ambush Lykus leaps up the embankment while drawing his longsword as he rushes towards the closest archer.

Aronin glared at the cowardly goblin with disgust. The slippery bastard was basically dead, and so he turned his attention to their fearless leader. Aronin swung down his scimitar in an attempt to slash deep into the leader's shoulder, and quickly followed up the motion with a stab into his gut.
