From the upper deck where Miri dashed to she'd be able to see from this vantage even more crew pouring out of the lower decks. At this point? Nearly everyone was out. The last out? Scrouge, followed by Plugg, then Captain Harriagan himself. Those who had betrayed the Bear's Throat matched themselves up against their once comrades, maybe even friends. In the spreading fire Miri could see even better now the feathers lighting up from the fire's glow. Rosie Cusswell had a feather. Conchobhar had a feather. Grok and Kroop as she'd seen earlier had a feather.
Below her Cog was frantically looking around to see where Miri had gotten to, but an allied feather bearer attempted to distract him. Odds or even roll, to see if Cog is detained a round. Moral chose Odd in Discord. Odds Cog is distracted r7xL7XDE1d201d20

Though the alley tried to help, appearing out of the flickering shadows cast by the fire; a dark haired, dark skinned woman with stunning blue eyes seen even from up above, Cog was determined to hunt down his target. Shoving past the other he began to pound his way up the stairs. And the woman? Next time Miri would look she'd be gone, seemingly vanished into the shadows themselves. Miri had ran far enough away though that she had a round to herself. Cog just runs 30 feet as his move, action was being potentially pulled into a different combat 1v1

Miri appeared at the top of the stairs, and blew a kiss at Cogward. She flung a dagger down the stairs at him, then fled along the side of the upper deck, crouching behind a set of crates in an attempt to hide.

Cog would have to nat 20 the perception, and even then, it wouldn't beat the 22. Miri hides!
The dagger wizzed past his head, landing on the deck somewhere or dissapearing into the ocean below it was anyone's guess. He turned his head to duck, missing the chance to see where Miri went as he stepped up onto the upper deck. Blood pumping in his veins and the fight pushing any amount of sense he might have possessed before the pirate went to the railing to lean against the wood and see if Miri had ran down the other set of stairs onto the top deck below.
Across the other end of the upper deck another sort of one v one battle was beginning. From there Sandara climbed the stairs with a hand over her mouth. "Where are ye, ye boorish brute excuse of a Captain? Harrigan! I challenge ye on behalf o' teh Blood Red Rose fer crimes against teh sea an' those who sail upon et. Luskan an' teh Council will hear about ye' plots an' ye best bet Redbriar will be pleased tae 'ave these documents." As she walked up the darker skinned woman stepped out of the shadow cast by the ship's wheel - a large Captain's hat being held out and offered. Brilliant fire feathers as well as gull feathers decorated the fairly impressive hat.
Was... Sandara the Captain of the opposing ship?
As for Miri though? It probably didn't cross on her mind of being something she cared about, focused on hiding as she was. Luskan? Council? That stank of political matters.

Miri crouched behind the crates, watching Cogward wandering the top deck, looking for her and muttering angrily to himself. She waited – waited – waited, then seized her moment, and leapt out from behind the crates as he approached, plunging down at him with one short sword and shouting the magic words of her spell once more.
She would break away the moment after her strike, grinning. "What's wrong, Cogward?" Miri taunted. "Can't keep up?"

Miri's voice pulled his attention, but it was the last movement he'd take. The sword impaled him right through the gaps of his armor. Gurgling he dropped his own weapon, bringing both hands to grasp at the blade in his side, and limped down to one knee.... then the next.
The rogue was left standing there, the only one on this half of the upper deck. From here she had a front seat view of Harrigan slamming out of his personal Captain's Quarters - answering the challenge of the opposite Captain. Standing brutishly tall and decorated in multiple weapons and affects he turned from his door to walk the stairs under the wheel and ascend.
Fire had spread further now, burning the crates that had been stored around the center mast. The mast itself was fully alight, a tall redwood height of a burning beacon into the sky. Moving from one side of the deck to the other would be extremely dangerous now. On Miri's side was Rosie and Conchobhar. The other had Kroop and Grok.
Picking her sword up out of the corpse of Cogward Miri kept moving, knowing she was too easy a target just standing as the only person up on this part of the deck. Descending the opposite flight of stairs lead her right into a duo of somewhat recognized swabs and riggers. It hit her then, it was the halfling and human she'd raced against on her first day.
The halfling grinned with a snear. "Rematch" Human Int: eK3zTyUp1d20 Halfling Int: 1d201d20·1d20

Cogward dropped to one knee, gripping at the blade, and collapsed onto the deck. Miri braced one foot against him and yanked the blade free, wiping it clean against him. “Guess not,” she said, softly.
No sense in staying alone as a target. In case anyone had seen her come up – and might be waiting for her down below – Miri crossed to the opposite side of the deck, shortswords still in hand, taking a moment to survey the rest of the fight. Plenty of fire and blood; just as Miri liked it. She descended the opposite stairs, but in the dark it was easy – too easy – to miss the two standing at the base of them.
Miri raised an eyebrow, and grinned cheerfully at the halfling. “Any day, short stuff.”
Miri turned to the human next. “Sure you want this?” She asked, brandishing her swords, neither free of blood. “I remember you were a bit more… sensible,” she grinned, teeth glinting in the firelight.

Miri lunged off to the side, disengaging out of the human's range, and came at the halfling from the side, keeping him squarely between her and the human. She chanted the words of her spell again, lashing out at him with a single strike before dropping back five feet and winking at him.

The human rolled his shoulders, still rather steady paced, and stated. "Don't got much else going on for meself." It was as if switching sides never occurred to him. Stepping around the halfling to move further around Miri took out his sweapon. He swung his mace single handedly, the times in the ropes increasing his strength, the metal ball crashing towards her.

The halfing on the other hand held no such politeness as he felt Miri's blade bite into him. Enraged he followed, suffering more as he did so. His rapier poked towards her in an angry jabbing motion.

“Two at once, lads?” Miri laughed. “If you insist.”
Miri focused on the halfling; for all her teasing, she had no wish to draw out two lengthy battles against two opponents. He might be the slower of the two, but she’d done some damage to him so far at least, and, with a little luck, perhaps she’d manage a bit more.
Perhaps it wasn’t the cleverest move to repeat herself, but Miri had no wish to be trapped between the two of them; it limited her a bit more than she might have liked. Miri disengaged again, with a quick wink at the human, pulling out of his range and attacking the halfling from the side, murmuring the words of the spell again. She pulled back towards the human, keeping the fight in the same tight corner of the ship while putting ten feet between her and the Halfling again.

Not one to think or take a moment to consider other paths other than winning as fast as possible, the halfling, despite the second wound and ear-splitting damage from whatever it was his target was doing, kept following Miri across the deck determinded to take her down.
It ended up being his downfall.
The spell's effect, something he didn't think to consider, was enough to send him down forever to his knees.
The human watched the effects happening, saw how Miri could still injure and harm without requiring a blade at all moments, and considered what to do next. He didn't move up into Miri's range, preferring to stay where he was, preparing himself for the moment she springs at him.
-The human uses the dodge action: When you take the Dodge action, you focus entirely on avoiding attacks. Until the start of your next turn, any Attack roll made against you has disadvantage if you can see the attacker, and you make Dexterity Saving Throws with advantage. You lose this benefit if you are Incapacitated (as explained in Conditions ) or if your speed drops to 0.

Miri stood coolly, cocking her head to the side as the halfling lunged forward. The booming energy wreathing him crackled and burst – and he dropped, collapsing to the ground. Miri smiled.
She turned her attention to the human, throwing herself at him, both blades whirling into action. The moment the attack finished, Miri would pull back, almost dancing ten feet back towards the stairs, leading the human to them if he intended to attack her.

Despite his best efforts in preparing for the blows, the human wasn't fast enough. The mace wasn't a weapon used for deflecting weapons as much as it was to bash heads in.
Knowing this was it, and with the fire spreading behind him, and no other hope, he pursued Miri. Mace held high he swung it down high to low, then jerked it back up with an upswing.
