Seeing that her plan had worked, at least in part, Aislinn felt a bit less panicked about the whole situation. Though, she didn't let that relief cloud her mind after all, Arioch was still surrounded and that was a problem. At the very least the man had managed to avoid her spell which was a plus. Add onto that the arrow whipping past her, presumably from Stephen unless someone else had happened to fall into this cave system, and Aislinn felt her concern lessen even more. Though that didn't stop her from flicking her gaze between all of the kobolds just trying to pick which one made the most sense to go after. She was hesitant to get closer, not wanting to let up on her spell but as the whole pack went after Arioch the half-elf felt her options were limited if she wanted to make sure he made it through this. Although, he seemed to be handling himself quite well for the moment.
Quickly zeroing in on one of the two that she hadn't managed to get with her spell, the half-elf once again spoke in Druidic as a flame sparked to life in her hand. Taking a step forward her arm once again reared back before she flung it forward along with the flame that had sparked to life in it a mere second ago.
(Aislinn is taking a five foot step forward and casting Produce Flame at the Red kobold.)

I will apply damage to yellow instead, as red is dead.
Three kobolds remained standing, all still striking their spears towards the biggest threat in the room, Arioch. Two of them were still struggling against the vines, but they were determined to keep attacking instead of trying to pull themselves out.

Another arrow ready. The kid was surrounded. Not a good spot to be in. He drew back, taking a deep breath. Slow and steady, one hit after another. That's all they needed.

The myriad of little attacks were beginning to pile up on his body trying their darnest to take their toll on his stamina, blood was starting to show up slowly but surely through the small cuts and it only served to fuel his rage further. The enemy numbers were dwindling and one of them even had a dagger plunged through it's small body. How was he still standing was anyone's guess, but he wouldn't be standing for much longer, that was sure. As he brought his great sword back up again returning from the previous motion, it's long blade completely covered in lizard blood he pondered about which one of the lizards to smite next. Several of them had been traped by the vines that Aislinn had conjured, something amazing that only she seemed to be able to do, one of the fabled druids that he had only heard about in tales. He remembered about when they first met in the woods, and that for the briefest of moments he had considered that perhaps she was helpless, almost being fooled by that frail, comely appearance of her. The truth as he had learned later was far more savage underneath the skin and it would do poorly for anyone to underestimate her. He was, underneath the current battle rage the filled him, curious and anxious to see what else she could do.
Two of the lizards were trapped by the vines while the only one that remained free had the dagger plunged through his body. He took the decision in a split second, normally the one that was free would have been targeted first because he seemed to be the biggest threat. Or well, at least, the biggest threat that these pests could be which to be fair was not much in his eyes, but he could still move and thus he had more options available to him than the entangled ones. But watching him with that wound... No, he would focus instead on the ones that had been trapped by the vines, they were easier targets for their rage and surely any further wound on the already wounded kobold would kill him for good. And wasting the time to swing that great sword of his around to finally kill him when the creature was already on it's death throes? It felt wasteful, instinctually. He settled fore one that was caught between the vines and locked his gaze into his.
With a rather loud roar he heaved his great sword upwards and let it fall again in a needlessly brutal fashion, as if he was trying to cut the ground below the kobold and not the kobold itself, soon cutting through it's body like a hot knife cuts through butter, dragging it's remains along the trail the blade described on the air and finally splattering him against the ground, shaking the soil with that thunderous force. He looked to the side and focused on the only kobolds that still drew breath, inhaling deeply, wondering if by chance he could learn too to smell the fear of his enemies. But was it not enough to know that it was there, to feel it? What need was there for physical evidence. And yet, he was sure he could feel it, any moment now, like a deep certainty.

With little in the way of choices Aislinn simply decided to repeat her action, after all if it wasn't broken there was no need to fix it. So, once again she recited her spell and threw a small flame towards one of the now two remaining kobolds.
(Produce Flame attack against yellow once again.)

That 1 fire damage >_<;;
Even as more of their numbers dropped, the other two remaining kobolds pressed on. The crossbow bolt was ducked by the one with the yellow bandanna, only to get a face full of fire which it shrugged off and kept fighting.

Another arrow, another target. He knew these caves were bad news. He sighted his target, waiting for a good moment to strike. He watched it swing in attack, and loosed an arrow towards its exposed back.

Swiftly enough Aislinn conjured a flame, something he had no clue that she could do but was somehow not surprise to know that it was within the scope of her abilities, and then put the wounded kobold to the flames incinerating him and bringing him towards a quick, if painful, death. That only left one of the lizard creatures still standing, clearly trapped in the vines, it's small body trying to wound him just like he had been doing during the last few dozen seconds. Arioch towered over him and both his eyes briefly glared at the wicked creature with a grim intensity for he was sure to know what followed, and everything in his body language exhuded what was to be delivered. That simmering rage within him burning beyond the fusion point as he gripped the great sword with two hands and brought it upwards splattering the remains of the previous scaled victim all over the cave wall and the floor as well, blood trickling down his own body mixing that which was his own and that which had been of the kobolds. At that particular moment he no longer cared whether the creatures could feel fear or were smart enough to realise, at that point, what a huge mistake they had made in attacking him like that. He didn't care about rectifying whatever image they had of them, or about judging them for their cowardly ways.
He was going to kill that kobold, but not kill them in a controlled, calm, regulated fashion. He was going to annihilate the small lizard so hard that all of it's ancestors would be able to feel it with such strength that even the nearest dragon would feel a tingle down his overgrown spine. He yelled at the creature, as if it was somehow necessary to drive the point forward, and with fiery rage brough the swing down towards him, earth shattering fury cutting through vines, scale, flesh, bone, and finally soil as it sank deep within the creature at such speed and force that it all but imploded splattering all around him like a shower of gore reaching to his knees and the sprinkles, the droplets of blood and scales went flying in every direction landing squarely on his body and on his now exposed face. He growled still, as if, somehow, the conclusion to that combat had been anything but satisfactory, as if he still craved for more combat.
And in a way, he did.
The blood on his face felt warm, warmer than he would have figured these creatures blood was living in such a dark hole but it was proof that they had been alive at one point, no longer now though. And it was such a strange feeling too, after having worn that mask for so long that the sensation of something touching his face where the mask had been before now felt foreign to him, like rediscovering a lost feeling. It could be thought of as a rite of passage of sorts, and if it was so, it was the kind of rite of passage he was used to, the kind he could understand. And though challenging, he much preferred it to the ones he had to face back when he was still a kid in his homeland, for these challenges called for his fury and his strength, while the previous ones had required everything from him and still taxed him through nightmares and regrets, even when he should've of had none.

The final kobold went down, finally, after a last mighty swing from the raging Arioch. Silence met the cavernous room the three adventurers were in. Now that the immediate threat was gone the group's observance of the room could continue. DM to Arioch: As you are on the opposite side of the second caved in pit trap, you can see (from your previous perception check) a boarded up part of the wall on the left of the cave. It looks hastily done, as if small hands had clambered to block that path to ensure their targets couldn't get away so easily. It takes barely any effort on your part to take down this barrier, if you choose to do so. DM to Stephen: You see the same with your investigation, assuming you move up and through the pit trap which can do with ease with support from Arioch aiding in passive strength check ability. Your investigation from earlier lets you see the same blockade Arioch does. You know, most likely? The kobolds, hearing you when you were in the first room during your short rest in the first room, planned this attack. It is also what would have probably caused the pit traps. You've also know the third most side is pit trapped as well. DM to Aislinn: The moss you'd been keeping an eye on is starting to fade on the right wall, but still offers enough light to show it extends fully down the entire right wall, getting thicker and wider covering as it extended deeper. With Arioch's aid you also can pass through unharmed through the pit traps. DM to All: If Arioch takes down the barrier to the left, the sound of water increases greatly! If light is sent that way, the back of a small river running through the caves can be seen. It is up to you all to determine what way you'd like to go. Map for Aislinn Green squiggle is glowing moss

Stephen stowed his bow. "Well, it's clear we aren't alone down here. We should press on, and get out of here". He looked around the cavern as he spoke. "I still don't know which way to go".

Aislinn's shoulder's slouched as the final kobold met its demise. A wave of relief washed over her as she was glad to be done with the conflict, and hoped no more would occur, though she refrained from saying so out loud call her superstitious if you must. With a deep breath in, she once again caused fire to spring into existence in her left hand, this time using it for what little light it could provide. Hearing Stephen she glanced back towards the right wall covered in the dimly glowing moss.
"True, unfortunately. Let's hope that was the biggest problem we'll face," Aislinn responded before continuing. "Well, we could keep up with the plan of the moss leading us to a source of water, hopefully, the ocean or, well, that's all I have to be honest," Aislinn said with a small huff as she walked to the edge of the caved in pit trap. Looking across at Arioch she spoke again.
"You doing okay? That didn't look like a good experience from my end," Aislinn questioned, before glancing down into the pit trap once again. "And while I hate to ask after you took the brunt of that fight could you help me through this, I'm not exactly the best at climbing? Maybe there's something over there that could point us in the right direction?"

When the last of the kobolds died there was finally a moment of respite to be had, and without further stimuli to keep him going on his violent urges, his rage faded and the full weight of his wounds... well, weighed on him. The myriad of small cuts decorating his skin were not bleeding quite as profusely as they would've of had but it was still a wound. Now he could go on fighting if there need be, but he couldn't guarantee he would come up on top. For how much longer could he continue to get stabbed and cut until his body gave out? He let out a groan as he shook his sword away from the last lizard corpse, as he listened to Stephen and Aislinn exchange words, until the latter addressed him. Fundamentally he agreed with Stephen. Arioch shook his head, replying with a hoarse voice.
"I'm alright"
He stood up, and then looked over at Aislinn, and then back to the left towards where he could just barely make out that which seemed to be water out in the distance.
"I think I can see water to our left, if that's what we're looking for. And there's... The sound of running water."
Arioch approached the pit then, with a small smile on his lips as he regarded Aislinn. His expression was hardened, but his smile was not, interacting with other people brought him back from that edge.
"Happy to lend a hand, I was just holding back in hopes I could see you shift into something else"
Said then with a chuckle, and readied himself to offer his hand, and heave her up to his side if she chose to go down that way
