Kara felt a rush of energy surge into her - familiar to the spells clerics had cast on her before, but different too, a faint uplifting, like a strengthening of her muscles.
Then the orc on the rocks blew his horn and the world exploded into chaos.
Kara wasn’t afraid; there was no time or energy left for fear. There was only focus. She lashed out at the first orc to close towards her, her glaive biting deep into him and halting his momentum.
He snarled in fury, hurling his greataxe at her, and Kara shifted to the side, dodging the weapon. She glanced around; three more orcs closing on her, Dredka and Igostrom, maybe more elsewhere - yes, one on Warden and one...
Kara didn’t hesitate.
She turned to the orc whose axe had bit deep into Igostrom and slashed at her, once with the blade of her weapon, finishing her with a heavy strike from the butt of the weapon. She turned to one of the orcs on her other side, aiming a brutal strike at her that only just missed.
“Go!” Kara turned to Igostrom, and pointed the glaive of her weapon at the orc menacing Honeybun. “Stop him!”
((Kara stays put, kills orc 9 and sends Igostom to attack orc 11)))

damage: 1d8+3
Honey was suddenly not so sure of herself, she was supposed to hide -- she was supposed to... She signaled first! Help!! She blew on the whistle as loud as she could. Dredka had asked for that! Then, she realized she had little she could do other than at least wound the thing, so it couldn't hurt her so much... Right? If she ran away it would just hit her anyway, she could try to give it a run for its money. Did orcs have money?

Igostrom was glad to be ordered. Put him at ease. Didn't have to use his brain. Then he looked and saw one of his party in trouble, and saw red for a second at the edge of his vision. Boy, was he glad to have been ordered to do what he was about to do. He turned on a dime, and charged down the orc who would put Honey into trouble.
"UNHAND HER, FILTH!"
(Igostrom is going to stay to the direct left of Dredka, so he doesn't impose disadvantage with his lance. He is also going to action surge to get 2 total attacks. After attacking, he will move one space lower, so he is within 5 feet of Honey)

Dredka’s face scrunched up in ugly anger as she became aware of the threat to the little bunny behind her. She was pleased when the centaur simply barrelled in and mowed the offending creature down, his lance taking the snarling head clean from its shoulders in a shower of gore. The orc’s anger swelled and redoubled regardless. She’d been annoyed before, but now her rage was kindled to an entirely new level. She drew the hefty greataxe back – and perhaps the difference between herself and the other orcs was made more stark for their closeness. Where the other creatures clearly had little regard for their weapons, having amassed a motley collection of scrappy and dented armaments, Dredka’s blade was barbaric, but it was well-tended. The steel was as sharp as a razor, and whilst it was studded with vicious spikes and barbs, wrapped and locked to her wrist by chain, the killing edge was as keen as any battle axe ever forged. The crushing force with which she brought it down simply battered aside her foe’s desperate attempt to parry. He was a hunched thing, all brutish eagerness, where Dredka towered at her full height, and BELLOWED her defiance into his face as he stumbled back gushing blood. “DIE! Small-voiced WEAKLING SLAVE of the Cyclops-God! Suck Gruumsh’s CENSORED in Hell!” (Bonus action rage / standard action attack / no move)

Warden heard the whistle, but there was an orc right before her and she didn't dare look away or let the enemy get a chance to attack her while she ran to help. Igostrom's bellow filled her with relief, and she narrowed her eyes at the enemy, fully able to concentrate on her foe from that point. The tiefling paladin muttered something in Infernal, red eyes narrowed in a glare, then swung her battleaxe fiercely at the orc before her. It wasn't going to live to threaten anyone else, if she had anything to say about it.

It shouldn’t be possible for an orc to look as smug as the hornblower does. Watching the heroes dispatch his allies, he only laughed; a low, guttural huh-huh-huh. From his position of relative safety he could see that there were far, far more orcs than there were enemies for them to slay, and whilst they were doing a good job of keeping the tides back for now – soon, he was certain they would be overwhelmed and dispatched.
He blew his horn again, thunderous and loud. Now, just barely over the din of the combat, the sound of other horns could be heard echoing throughout the forest, as other companies found other bands. These forests were infested with the creatures. No wonder the caravans had been complaining about troubles recently; there must be dozens, if not hundreds, of the orcs spread out over miles of terrain.
Another of the brutish creatures tore through the undergrowth to slash across Igostrom’s chest. The centaur’s armour was strong, but it couldn’t turn aside the primitive force of the blow. Warden likewise found herself beset; a second orc coming up fast to join its wounded fellow, but for the moment she was able to fend them off.
It was doubtful that Dredka had even noticed the fresh wound now bleeding on her forearm, but she was increasingly aware of the number of orcs moving to surround herself and Kara. Clambering over the corpses of their own fallen, they were vastly outnumbered, and sooner or later the telling blows would start to mount…
