Appearance: Average looking human. The kind that on his own would not stand out in the crowd. Not fat but not in the best of shape. Hylid dresses to not stand out as much right now so neutral leathers and practical boots.
History:
Since Artificers are from the Ebberon setting I would probably say that my character comes from there and is off to explore this new area that has opened up given all the mystery that seems to surround it. I am thinking of using Unearthed Arcana to make an Armorer so I would say that my character also has some really radical ideas about what is possible for an Artificer, which his father first thought of and wants to go do some research to try and make his father's vision of armor a reality. I would say that while he is a member of the Merchant Guild, the now family idea to modify armor in such a way has made him unpopular and he had set out to prove that he is right and redeem the family name. I also see an Artificer as someone who is always taking notes and working on designs. Power Armor is not an idea you can just build without thinking it though so he would have a journal where he would be working on ideas and taking notes. That and the promise of adventure because that is what you want good gear. I can flush it out more but that is the main idea.
Personality: Always up for adventure and making money. I would imagine he would spend free time and traveling time taking notes and working on ideas. He would be shy around new people at first while he studied them and learned about them. He is able to lead the charge but is also fine with being a support character. He cares more about proving his ideas right than personal glory.
