Dock Ward – Friendly- Currently occupies a room in the Sailor's Corner Inn
- Works in the harbor by day on his skiff, drinks his gains in taverns at night
- He'll tell the tale of the doomed Jolly Devil if he gets in a mood, whether his listeners want to hear it or not
- Used to be first mate of the Jolly Devil - a pirate ship under Captain Copperbottom's command, known to fly false flags to lure unsuspecting merchant vessels on the Sea of Swords
- A rogue wave smashed the Jolly Devil to smithereens against the cliffs south of Waterdeep. Smee believes he's the only survivor of the crew, due to blind luck. He'll tell you rum saved him, as he's fallen asleep in the empty barrel of liquor that kept him afloat.

- Anything nautical themed. He's all about that sea life
- He owns a masted rowboat that he uses to make a living, ferrying passengers and cargo between the piers and the anchored boats in the harbor
- Thief for hire. More brawn than brain or subtlety
- Drinking. Rum and whiskey are the only things he loves as much as the open sea
- He loves stories. To tell them and to hear them
- Treasure. Especially the Jolly Devil's treasure that sunk to the bottom of the sea south of Waterdeep along the cliffs
