Anthony Allerton Research Log, Minor Projects (The TechnoBabble explanations for his spells)
-Projected Thermal Packet System (firebolt)
A very straightforward weapons system, it uses thermal energy enveloped in stabilizing force energy to deliver damage at range.
-High Voltage Melee Deterrent (shocking grasp)
A very simple system; capacitive crystals store electrical energy to be delivered with my mechanical arm
-Energy Absorption Field (absorb elements)
A diffused field of pure abjuration magic emitted around the user by a small waist mounted device. It can be used to absorb some of the energy from an energy based attack, redirecting it through my arm during a melee attack.
Silent Sentinel Alarm System (alarm)
I first started by designing a sort of alarm sensor. After much experimentation, I finalized the design for a small metal nodule, the size of a walnut. Within it was an intricate array of mythril sigils, adamantine transistors, and more. It was capable of detecting nearly any living or non living thing within a short radius, and the ability to differentiate between friendlies and otherwise. A series of them, placed in the surrounding area, can create a potent sensor array capable of detecting intruders. Can be flash forged from the environment, almost instantly transmuting the parts in exchange for a large surge of power, or slowly formed with the passive power from my arm.
Remote Kinetic Energy Applicator (catapult)
A complex design, utilizing short range gate magic. A small portal is generated at a chosen location, with a blast of force emitting from it and launching objects away.
Metabolic Regeneration Accelerator (cure wounds)
Using a combination of Healing Waters from the Plane of Water and ambient divine magic syphoned from the area, this small patch with a bundle of components on the back suffuses the body with healing energy, speeding its natural recovery.
Arcana-Luminescent Goggles (detect magic)
The basis for my nightvision goggles, these goggles contain a gel layer which glows in the presence of magic, allowing the user to “see” magical auras.
Visual Disruption and Reorganization Matrix (disguise self)
Uses projected images, similar to the Asset Protection Field, to create the image of another creature wrapped around the user. Will not stand up to physical inspection, and refuses to work on eye color (FOR NO REASON)
Rapid Positioning and Maneuver Harness (expeditious retreat)
A harness worn on the torso, commonly built into armor, with an assortment of nozzles placed in strategic locations. A small tank is used as the Fuel Cell for the system. It is a chamber where Black Ooze distillate and Alchemist Fire are generated by a complex module that combines transmutation and summoning sigils and circuits. This mixture is kept under pressure as it is routed through the nozzles and ignited, providing vectored thrust to improve speed and maneuverability. Many different systems can be used in the harness, granting different effects.
Target Illumination and Tracking Gel (faerie fire)
A canister filled with a bioluminescent gel is launched out of a small tube (about the size of a map case) using a portal to the Plane of Wind. The canister has a sigil on its nose that causes the thin wooden housing to turn to paper on impact, allowing the gel to splatter onto its target
Emergency Injector (false life)
Similar to the Metabolic Regeneration Accelerator, this small system is actually embedded directly into my chest, next to the power source for my arm. It is capable of dumping a small amount of drugs into my body, reducing my ability to feel pain.
Emergency Vertical Kinetic Energy Diffuser (feather fall)
Based on the same force absorption systems in my armor, this function of the RPM Harness will absorb kinetic energy during a fall and store it in capacitive crystals, which is used to power the Fuel Cell in the RPM harness, directing the thrust downward to slow the fall even further. It is capable of slowing a freefall to a manageable speed.
Low Viscosity Crowd Control Oil (grease)
Uses the same canister launch system as the Target Illumination and Tracking Gel system (I’m NOT calling it TIT Gel), this payload contains an extremely slippery oil. It’s pretty simple.
Magic Field Identification Matrix (identify)
Using the passive charging capacitive crystals in my arm, I can capture the magic emitted by items over a long period of time. This magical signature can then be studied and interpreted, allowing a very accurate prediction of an items function.
Vertical Kinetic Energy Enhancer (jump)
An aggressive use of the RPM Harness, this is system uses sustained blasts from the thrusters to improve the users jump height.
Long Range Ground Travel Aid (longstrider)
Slow, controlled burns from the RPM Harness can be used to effectively reduce the strain on the users body while walking, allowing them to walk faster.
Comprehensive Toxicology Analyzer (purify food and drink)
Embedded sensors, similar to the Magic Field Identification Matrix, are able to pick up the small arcane traces within most known poisons. When detected, the poison is analyzed before a counteragent is administered, created using small canisters of common alchemical ingredients held within my bicep
Asset Protection Field (sanctuary)
This system is worn around the wrist, the size of a manacle. It projects blinding, strobing lights, making it difficult to target the wearer and hopefully convince attackers to target someone else.
Non-Lethal Trespasser Neutralizing Coil (snare)
This bundle of metal, nozzles, and cables can turn almost invisible once placed. When a creature steps near it, a rope is rapidly transmuted around the creatures leg, using raw materials placed in the shell. Once the rope is secured, a small version of the RPM Harness Fuel Cell is used to lift the device and victim off the ground.
