Miri was, frankly, a little surprised by how well her spell had worked, but no less pleased despite that. She thought, rather smugly, that she had done quite well. She fought her way towards the back of the wagon, but the crowd was surging, jerking the back doors open, the heavy (half-washed) masses of bodies were almost impenetrable.
Miri gritted her teeth, and pushed a little harder, ignoring a yelp from nearby as the studs of her armor (apparently) caught a sensitize spot. She could see Walker being helped out of the back of the wagon, looking thoroughly dazed, a wide-eyed, helpless, glazed look on his face. His eyes roamed the crowd, feebly, and then caught hers.
He winked.
Miri gritted her teeth, and heaved forward with all her strength, but her would-be informant was already gone, swallowed up by the crowd. Miri cursed, enthusiastically and creatively, all too aware of the tingling sensation of eyes on her from not too far away.
The last thing she needed was to get arrested! The adrenaline of the chase was wearing off, and Miri was aware of the return of her vicious headache.
There was a tug on her arm, and a whisper in her ear, a suggestion to get away to safety. Miri glanced back at the crowd, searching longingly for Walker one last time, then nodded shortly.
“Yes, let’s get out of here,” Miri agreed, turning and flowing out with the crowd now, following her mysterious guide to safety.
Miri follows the guide! Action: Dash Movement: Full move
