The pair of Arioch (in the front) and Gigi (behind him) made their way into the hallway of stone. What was several feet of ash quickly gave way to warm, time-carved stone over the first couple of steps, the ambient heat of the fiery peaks providing a natural warmth that extended through the mountain's interior. Within the first stretch of the hallway, the two would run into their first obstacle- the skeleton impaled on the first of three spears that ran down the hallway. At one point, this may have been a spring-loaded trap, though it hadn't reset thanks one of the greatest opponents of any single thing- time. Generations of age had taken their toll, and they would at least have one simple assurance in the fact that traps like this wouldn't reset.
Past the flimsy spears would be the first- and only- room that Arioch could see. Extending twenty feet from either side of the doorway to the left and right, with about the same length across from them, this square room held three pillars down either side of the wall. Rubble and dust from what may have been mosaics that at one time may have decorated the room now layered the floor, along with some of the rubble that had shifted and shook from the roof. Piles of rocks sat here and there, and a large, circular platform sat in the middle of the room, raised above the rest of the room by about a foot. What appeared to be a slot for some kind of lever would be obvious, complete with a dark stone triangle that pointed back at the entrance they had come from. Looking around the room, there were three other doorways, though each was blocked by a dark slab of stone after about five feet. Looking at the slot, one of their torches would fit and work for a lever, and with some effort, they would find they could move the circular stone in a dial like fashion.

As each of them started to move, they would feel... off, somehow. Squeezed into the bottom of Arioch's breastplate and tucked into the swell of Gigi's back under her chain shirt was a single potion of healing as the Man with the Orange Eyes had promised.
With Gigi's Passive Perception of 15 (meeting the DC, thanks to a little bit of light from the entrance-way behind them, or a torch?), she would be able to see a small gap about five feet from the door. Inside the gap, about a foot wide, is a different colored rock that doesn't match the color of the carved rock they find themselves walking on.
With Arioch's Passive Investigation of 12 (meeting the DC), he would be able to deduct that the circular stone in the middle of the room could be turned, made easier with some kind of lever as noted in the description above.
